We here in Mackey Ireland are beyond excited to announce the sponsorship of the extremely talented Alice Wilson and her beautiful string of horses. Alice has been kind enough to us an introduction to her and her horses!
Hello everyone, my name is Ally, I’m 22 from Northern Ireland. I have been riding for 12 years. I run two youtube channels called “Equiially” & “Alfusally” where I post vlogs, riding videos, tutorials, and edited videos of my highs and lows with horses. I have a passion for eventing and show jumping and I am currently competing my lovely little horse Kes at 1M20 SJI & EI100 level. I also have a very big passion for breaking in and producing young horses, I enjoy the journey and find it very rewarding watching the horses develop and learn every day. I currently work in a yard where I ride and produce horses for eventing and show jumping, I have the opportunity to ride some amazing horses and ponies and I absolutely love it. Whenever I’m not riding horses I’m usually taking pictures of horses, or some other animal haha. I am starting up my own photography business where I specialize in Equine & Pet photography. Horses will always be a massive part of my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meet my horses:
Call Me Callie aka Callie – 15.1, 12yo, ISH mare. I have owned Callie for 7 and a half years, she was my first horse (after ponies) and she has taught me so much. I decided to put Cal in foal last year (2015) and it has been the best experience of my life, she had a lovely colt foal in may of this year. I plan to start competing Callie again in 2017 and I look forward to riding her again. Over the past 2-3 years, i have taught Callie many tricks and we both enjoy riding and jumping with no tack.
TJ – currently 14.1, 7-month-old, KWPN X ISH colt. TJ is my first ever homebred, he was born on the 14th of may and I am enjoying every minute of watching him grow. He is by the beautiful black stallion “Tolan R”. I hope to do a bit of everything with him in the future, he has a very loveable attitude and I’m very excited for the future with him.
The Irish Kestrel aka Kes: 15.1, 10yo, KWPN mare. I have owned Kes for just over a year. She has the stride and heart of an 18hh horse but only stands 15.1. I have gone from jumping 80cm to 1m20 with her in a short space of time, we are both very inexperienced at 1.20 level but we have been having a blast giving it a go. I plan to move Kes up to EI1* Level and get more comfortable at SJI 1M20 in 2017.
Ballindarragh aka Alfie – 17hh, 7yo, SF X ISH Gelding. I have owned Alfie for 4 years. I bought him as an unbroken 3yo and have done everything with him myself, it has taken me a long time to get used to his massive jump. I have done a lot of training shows, dressage, and a few events with Alfie, he is an amazing horse and I think he will really come into his own in 2017.
